Are there recommendations for a bike saddle for a women tri bike for someone with narrower hips?
I have a womens tri specific saddle now that is hurting me in all the wrong places. Im looking for a recommendation for a comfortable saddle. Im about 5' 3" and 115 lbs. Thank you!
Try this
Get a sheet of carbon paper place it between to sheets of a4 place it on a hardish surface and sit on it heavily.
It should leave an imprint of the part of your pelvis that people refer to as your "sit bones" (ischial tuberosities) Trim it up with a pair of scissors
Take this imprint with you when you go shopping for a seat place it on the seats. Have a look at the picture on this link it will give you a good idea of what you are looking for.

The other thing that you may need to address is your reach to the handle bars. A commonly made mistake is that women are placed on bikes which require them to stretch to far forward. Resulting in the pelvis rocking forward bearing too much weight on their ...um... soft tissues.A shorter stem(handle bar) can help if this is the case.
In your case (A Tri bike) adjusting the seat forward could help also. This will tend to be less comfortable (on your arms)but you will be able to deliver more power.
Women generally have a longer inside leg measurement that a man. Biologically women have longer thigh bones(femurs). this also means a shorter torso and shorter reach than a man with the same inside leg measurement.
I happen to have the same inside leg measurement as my wife. She is two inches shorter. I have two options when fitting her to a bike, a size smaller frame, or an inch shorter stem.
