Are plastic pedals or metal pedals better for bmx?
I am starting to get into bmx and I was wondering; are plastic pedals or metal pedals better for ridin bmx? I know plastic ones would be lighter, but would they last a long time? Would they provide good grip?
Plastic pedals will always fail as they can be bent and shredded so much easier than an aluminum pedal.
Try to get an aluminum pedal with replacable studs as a painted aluminum pedal without them will be slippery right away or very soon after.
Because the pedal is directly connected to your foot and pedaling force the weight of the pedal holds no bearing on performance whatsoever yet the stronger,heavier, pedal will always let you do more as you will feel safer and more planted.
